Getting started
Seven steps from purchase to your first chat, meeting and mail account.
Buy the license
Buy Early Pigeon once on earlypigeon.com. Your serial comes in the purchase email, and the thank-you page links to the download.
Download and check the file
Download the installer from the thank-you link or from your account. Compare its SHA-256 checksum with the value shown on the download page. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn you: choose More info, then Run anyway.
Install and enter your serial
Run the installer. The first time you start Early Pigeon, enter the serial from your purchase email. The license works on up to 5 computers at a time.
Add a mail account
Enter your email address and password. Gmail, Yahoo and iCloud need an app password, and the app walks you through creating one. Outlook.com and Hotmail use Microsoft sign-in.
Start a room or meeting
Create a room for chat, then share its link. Start a video meeting from the room. Guests with the link join in a web browser and do not need the app.
Add events to your calendar
Create events with a time zone, repeats and reminders. Invitations and replies go out by mail.
Manage your computers
Your account lists the computers that use your license. To free a slot, sign a computer out there. You can also free one from the list the app shows on a sixth computer.
